About

Club logo

The Fiat Club Waikato was founded in April 1964 by Fiat 500 (Bambina) enthusiasts Clyde and Olive Thomson and Vic and Eileen Oates. The Club has changed over the years and in 2002 the Auckland Fiat and Lancia club joined forces with us. The club is affiliated to MotorSport NZ, the governing body for motorsport in NZ, and this association provides opportunities for members to take part in a wide variety of events run by other affiliated clubs.

Members own and drive a variety of Fiats and Lancias from a wide age range, but the greatest concentration of vehicle ages is from the 1970s and 1980s. Ownership of a Fiat Group manufactured vehicle is not essential, we will convert non owners over time once they recognise the charms of our marque, and the abilities of the cars as both everyday drivers and good club cars.

We hold a variety of events throughout the year, ranging from Motorkhanas through to hill Climbs and track days. If you would like to know more about the club, then please get in contact with us.
